Chicken Chain Rays Cane plans for nearly 100 new locations this year

Raising Cane’s, a popular fast food chain specializing in chicken fingers, continues to increase the number of restaurants.

Three new Rays Cane restaurants began serving customers on Tuesday, with more openings coming, according to company representatives.

The trio, which opened earlier this week, is located in Ontario, Ohio. Wichita, Kansas; Weathersfield, Connecticut.

The company is planning to open five restaurants in July. This includes an launch in Visalia, California at the beginning of the month.

Las Vegas, Nevada, is poised to have a new location on July 15th, while Rayskane’s representatives are poised to have a new location on July 15th, registered in Illinois, Illinois and Jacksonville, Florida. A restaurant is also scheduled to open in Poway, California on July 22nd.

The chain’s website indicates that Raising Cane plans to bring its restaurant to Indiana, Pennsylvania in early August.

This year, Raising Cane’s launched more than 20 new locations across the United States as of the first quarter. By the end of the year, we have plans to open nearly 100 new restaurants in several new markets in 2025,” a spokesman for Raising Cane said.

The company currently has over 800 chicken finger locations across the US, according to its website.

Last year, Raish Cane’s opened 118 restaurant locations. The chain was called “a record year of growth” in 2024 in a January press release.

“In 2026, Raising Cane’s will continue to grow in both new and existing communities that are set to open nationwide, including Los Angeles near Sophie Stadium, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Seattle near Washington University, as well as Los Angeles in San Francisco.” “At any time, we have around 300 restaurants in various stages of the development pipeline, and we are continuously evaluating sites around the world, running over 1,600 restaurants and achieving our goal of becoming the top 10 brands in the US.”

Founded by Todd Graves, the company has been around since its first location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1996. The name comes from Graves’ Labrador Retriever.
