Coachella 2025 participants spend “devil” money on food and camping

Fox News contributor Joe Concha and Fox Business “Making Money” host Charles Payne respond to the hype and prices of the Coachella Valley Music a Arts Festival.
As Indio Valley’s most popular music festival begins its second weekend of A-list headliner and artistic pop-ups, attendees are also preparing their wallets for expensive accommodation.
At Coachella’s “Weekend One” festival, social media creators and influencers used the platform to express their opinions on what one user called the “devil” cost of food and accommodation.
So, how expensive is it to attend Coachella? When it comes to paying tickets, camping and food options, here’s the collapse.
Ticket tier options
According to the Coachella website, there are four different ticket options for concert participants to access for all three days of the festival.

General admission tickets – the most basic options – are $649 for the first weekend and $599 for the second weekend, and a service charge included. If you require a general admission ticket, including a bus shuttle to get in and out of the festival grounds, it will cost $779 for the first weekend and $679 for the second.
If you want to buy four general admission tickets for you and your friends, you can save $10 per ticket for $589 and $539 per pass.
For a luxurious experience offering access to all ‘VIP’ lounges and amenities for three days, participants cough from $1,199 to $1,399, including a fee. Also, if you are looking for an ultra-exclusive experience, please contact us for our suite and private table packages.
Camping and accommodation
Coachella Camping is available in many cases from DIY and from “glamping” scenarios with beds, air conditioning and breakfast buffets. Festival admission fees are sold separately from all general camping tickets.
The most popular overnight stay is car camping, with options starting at $160 per vehicle and “temporary occupancy tax” issued by the city. Participants can upgrade their camping options to “prioritize” the guaranteed spot closest to the venue entrance, or get a “power” camp that includes spots with power outlets for small electronic devices (yes, car camps usually have zero access to power).

If you want to stay in a camper, Coachella offers groups of up to 10 people. This year’s new option, participants can choose to choose a pop-top or a high-roofed camper van. Queen bed setup starts at $2,900, two double beds start at $4,900, and one queen with one double bed starts at $5,200, all in addition to temporary occupancy tax.
Ready-Set-Tent is also a new 2025 offer, with people reaching the vehicle at the limited edition Coachella Tents ready to accommodate two people. This tent is 10’x10′ and includes items that you can take home. Tent itself, two sleeping bags, two air mattresses, one battery-powered hanging light, a pillow, a tent lock. This starts with $650 and taxes.
“If you say I need more and more, trust me,” @immrfabulous said in his post. “The inside of the tent reached about 200 degrees (Farenheit), and all toiletries, including the lid and plastic bottle, have melted.”
La Campana is advertised as a private, temperature controlled tent featuring a real bed (new again this year). The 5-meter bell tent has parking in a “premium” campsite, which includes a fully-made metal bed frame and power source that accommodates two to four people. Includes access to “exclusive” showers and “flushing” toilets. Prices for La Campana start at $2,400 and can cost up to $3,300 or more.
Level up your accommodations on Lake El Dorado. Lake El Dorado features mini wooden bungalows that must be purchased in a festival entrance bundle. Built for 2-4 people, you will be greeted with a private check-in and have a 24-hour concierge. Get a fully pitched bed, sleeping bag and pillow, and you can choose between a lodge or a tent. Additionally, there is a shower and bathroom only on Lake El Dorado. But be careful: there is no air conditioning. The lowest cost option is $3,423, with the most expensive one being $6,816 and taxes.
It’s the “Ultimate On-Site Camping Experience”: Safari. Spend between $10,000 and $12,000 for two and get your VIP guest passes and access, golf cart transport, private air-conditioned showers and bathrooms in a fully decorated cycal tent or cabana. Buffet breakfast and late-night snacks are included in your 4-night stay. There is free Wi-Fi, groceries, delivery service, power supply, mini fridge and queen bed. You can also deliver concert items and avoid carrying them all day long. Safari Camping is invalid for payment plans.
“Yes, it’s expensive,” @theloverspassport said in their review post. “They basically gave you all the amenities you needed… [Breakfast and late-night snack] Everything was incredible… Overall, will we do a safari again? absolutely. It was expensive, but in our opinion it was definitely worth it. It was around $3,000 to $4,000 per person. ”
Food, drinks, supplies
Choose the more luxurious side of camping and some of your food is already paid for. But if you’re doing Coachella like the masses, you’ll have to pack your car with food and drinks beforehand or buy it at festival venues.
If you buy food or drinks from festival vendors, participants will run a little more. Regular lemonade can cost $17, primarily on ice,” reviewed Ruth Viveros of Tiktoker. Viveros also purchased two servings of Tacos and Nachos. Alcohol ranges from $15 for beer to $23 for red bull vodka.
