Elon Musk teases Tesla flying car in coming months on Logan show

Elon Musk has hinted that Tesla could soon unveil a flying car.

Musk appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast on Friday for an extensive interview that touched on a variety of topics, including the development of the Tesla Roadster.

“We’re getting closer to proving the prototype,” Musk told Logan. “And this is sure to be…one thing I can guarantee you is that this product demo will be unforgettable.”

“Why?” Logan asked.

“For better or worse, it’s going to be unforgettable,” Musk said. “My friend Peter Thiel once thought that we should have flying cars in the future, but we don’t have flying cars.”

Rogan asked for details about the technology, such as whether the car would have “retractable wings,” but Musk only said that this announcement “could be the most memorable product launch ever.”

Musk said he expected the car to be unveiled “in the coming months.”

Tesla on October 22 reported record third-quarter sales that beat Wall Street expectations. The move comes as the company’s electric vehicle sales hit a record quarterly as U.S. buyers scrambled to secure key tax credits before they expire in September.

However, Tesla’s profits did not meet analysts’ expectations. In addition to tariffs and research spending, the decline in revenue from regulatory credits that are expected to continue to disappear under recent legislation passed by the Trump administration also contributes.
