FAA investigating after Alaska Airlines’ plane at Seattle-Tacoma Airport


The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating after two Alaska Airlines planes cut their wings at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Gate on Saturday.

Around 12:15pm local time, groundservice tags were pushing two aircraft back from the gates when the winglet touched them, an Alaska Airlines spokesperson told Fox Business.

There were no injuries, the spokesman said.

Passengers from the two flights that disappeared at the gate were transferred to other aircraft and departed a while later.

FAA Air Traffic Control is not responsible for the movement of planes in the gated area, the agency wrote in a news release.
