Trump talks with China and announces plans to keep Tiktok alive
Employer.com CEO and founder Jesse Tinsley joins Maria in the “Morning” and considers President Donald Trump’s plans to launch a bid war over Tiktok.
President Trump told Air Force 1 reporters he plans to talk to China about Tiktok on Wednesday.
“There are a lot of people who are interested in Tiktok. I think we have the opportunity to do something good, and because they are obviously their party. But keeping it up is It’s amazing that Tiktok is alive and sells it to someone who intends to do a great job with it,” he said Wednesday.
The president issued an executive order in January, extending the period before the app was banned to make a transaction.

Trump says he “hopes the United States will have 50% ownership in the joint venture.”
“By doing this, we save the tiktok, keep it in good hands and allow it [stay] above. Without US approval, there will be no tiktok. Trump is worth hundreds of billions of dollars, with our approval. It’s probably a few trillion dollars,” Trump wrote. A venture was established between the US and our chosen purchase. ”

Following that executive order, X’s Tiktok account posted a statement saying, “In line with our service provider, Tiktok is in the process of restoring its services.”

“President Trump provides Tiktok to over 170 million Americans and provides the clarity and assurance needed for service providers that they will not face penalties that allow more than 7 million small businesses to thrive. I’m grateful for what you did,” the statement said. “This is a strong First Amendment position and opposes arbitrary censorship. We will work with President Trump on a long-term solution to maintain Tiktok in the US.”
It is still unclear who will own the app after Trump holds talks with China.
