The Lakers’ rivalry with the Celtics is clearly far more wide than the hardwoods – Byron Scott All smiles on Thursday have noticed that they have surpassed nearly $4 billion in sales of LA’s NBA franchise this week!!!
The former Lakers player and head coach were excited to see Johnny Bus obtain $10 billion for her beloved team Wednesday… I’m happy to break Boston’s $6.1 billion sale in March.
“That’s all that matters,” Scott said with a big smile about the price difference. “We put them on top. We put them on top! We beat them for $3.9 billion!”
Of course, Scott probably knows more of a rivalry than anyone on Earth. He played for the Lakers for 11 years and coached a handful in the 2010s. And obviously, he has some edge to Boston that he can get.
All jokes aside, Scott said he was “very happy” for Bass’ family, known for decades. However, he admitted that Genie’s decision to sell surprised him a bit.
“We all know it’s business at the end of the day,” he said. “And the business is always doing business to make money, but I think Bass’ family has done it right over the years. Jerry Busin my mind, to this day, the best owner I’ve ever seen in professional sports. ”
For the new owner of the team, Mark Walter – Scott didn’t feel anxious with him… Jeannie explains, “I won’t consider selling unless she trusts and sells to someone who had a lot of faith to continue that purple and gold tradition.”
