DP World Tour: Donald Trump’s Aberdeenshire Course to host the Scotland Championship in August | Golf News

The DP World Tour will be heading for the first time at Donald Trump’s Aberdeenshire Golf Course, with the Scotland Championship returning to schedule later this year.

The $2.75 million (£2.06 million) tournament will be held at Trump International Golf Links Scotland from 7-10 August and will serve as the penultimate event of the ending swing of the DP World Tour.

The Scottish Championship was last performed in October 2020 when Adrian Otugie finished a four-shot from Matt Wallace at Fairmont St. Andrews.

“We’re looking forward to seeing you in the future,” said Guy Kinnings, CEO of DP World Tour. “Trump International Golf Links Scotland has already gained a reputation as one of the UK’s best modern link courses and is committed to being an excellent place to bring the Scottish Championship back to the schedule.”

The closing swing concludes with the Danish Golf Championship held in Copenhagen from August 14th-17th. This is the last chance for players to compete in “Back 9,” the second phase of the DP World Tour season.

That portion of the campaign will begin on August 21st and 24th with BETFRED BRITISH MASTERS.
