Formula 1: McLaren Driver Collision Landnoris and Oscar Piastry “Inevitable” ‘CEO Zak Brown | F1 News

McLaren CEO Zak Brown feels that “inevitable” drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will hit the track at one stage as they push to win the Formula 1 World Championship.
Championship leader Piastri is 10 points ahead of second-placed Norris after five Grand Prix scored three wins for one of his teammates in the 2025 season.
Piastri and Norris – Next up will be at Miami Grand Prix this weekend -McLaren does not have a single driver specified, so you can race.
Brown hopes it changes and looks forward to getting in the way of the collision, but there have been no major incidents between the pair yet.
He said: “I think that’s definitely a problem when.
“Whether it’s the same team or a different team, there are two racing drivers next to each other in 24 races. Someone locks the brakes…
“So I don’t think it’s as exciting as anyone thinks, so I look forward to getting through it.
“When that day comes, I think it will be a race incident, and I think it is inevitable.
“They’re two great characters. Neither of them are hot heads, so we’re not worried about it. To some extent, we’re looking forward to not getting in the way.”
Brandle: Brown is blocking McLaren’s “Meltdown”
Sky Sports F1 Martin Brandle says Brown’s acceptance of a Piastri Norris conflict means that it won’t be a “meltdown” when the team happens.
“What they’re doing is incredibly smart,” Brandle said.
“What Zack is saying is “Papaya rules.” [McLaren’s way of saying ‘keep your racing clean’] At some point it becomes “Destruction of Papaya.”
“[He’s saying] “We have two very fast drivers with potential cars that won the championship and at some point it’s going to get rough.”
“What it does is to keep teams safe from meltdowns, drivers, drivers aides and not actually getting into the media.
“What he’s saying is, “We know it’s going to happen, we control it when it comes to it, but we don’t overreact to it all.” ”
