Former Australian Test cricketer Stuart McGill is found guilty of participating in the supply of cocaine in Sydney.
The 54-year-old former spin bowler took 44 tests in Australia and took 208 wickets but pleaded not guilty to one count of participating in the supply of prohibited drugs.
A charge relating to an introduction he made between cocaine dealers and others in April 2021.
A ju judge at the New South Wales District Court on Thursday heard that McGill’s involvement was limited to introduction, but dealers also participated in two other supplies.
MacGill is scheduled to return to court in May to receive a sentence.
The former cricketer made headlines in 2021, where he was allegedly lured, assaulted and threatened with a gun before being released.
New South Wales Police arrested and charged four men in connection with the incident.
