Moment’s Supercage is built like a tank. It’s a sturdy and flexible camera rig for your phone, but what I love most about it is the integrated USB-C hub. Connecting the cable to your phone provides outputs for wired headphones, microphone, HDMI, SD card, and two additional USB-C ports for external accessories such as an SSD or power bank.

The rig is well built and Moment clearly has practical use cases in mind. A rail system is placed at every end for additional attachments, and there are dozens of threads of varying sizes on every surface, alongside cold shoe mounts. There are also some additional cutouts to help you manage cables if things get out of hand.

The Supercage is expensive at $200, but it gets even more expensive with $50 to $100 of accessories. However, as long as your phone uses USB-C, your SuperCage will last for years (or decades) to come. Moment is also available if you don’t need a USB-C hub. Basecage for much less cashoffers many of the same benefits in terms of connection points.

I also tested SmallRig x Brandon Li All-in-One Video Kit ($240)a sturdy iPhone-specific cage, but expensive. There are more accessories included in the box, but it’s missing the integrated hub that really makes the Supercage shine.
